Not sure if I have enough traffic on the site yet, but I have a Hong Kong movie question for any players that want to take it on. Can anyone name what movie the following disturbing picture is from? Hint #1: The director triggered the West's interest in 80s HK film. I'll mail a prize to the first comment with the right answer! (Only one try per person)

A stab in the dark would be
"The Fantastic Magic Baby"
Director Chang Cheh 1975
Afraid not, but you do get a "Karate Chop of Honour" for being the first to rise to the challenge! Thanks Gubrat!
Hi Colin - long time no see, nice blog!
My guess: TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL by John Woo. Reasoning: John Woo (along with Tsui Hark and arguably Ching Tsui Tung - all three joined forces on THE KILLER incidentally) was responsible for making Hong kong movies hot in the west. And from his pre-A BETTER TOMORROW filmography, this seems to be the only one with any kind of supernatural content. I haven't seen it though so it's a stab in the dark...
BZZZZZZZZZT! Sorry Lars, but it is NOT the John Woo film TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL. And just what is so supernatural about a guy in a chimp mask flanked by sexy ladies? I'd say kinky, not spooky! Try again!
And great to hear from you! Hope all is well.
PLAIN JANE TO THE RESCUE? I suppose we'll keep throwing Woo titles until we hit bullseye.
Wrong! Keep trying, but remember, only one try per person!
Hmmm - is this Follow That Star or Follow the Star? It's supposed to be a crazy comedy with a bunch of weird bad guys in...
We have a WINNER! Okay, that hint was pretty obvious. Expect more of a challenge for the next one.
And Poptique, please email me your address at "ultra8@sympatico.ca". Thanks!
Ahhh That was my second guess :D
